Edie Wehrend Meyers is a consumer advocate, businesswoman and lender with a 30 year history of professionalism and flawless integrity. Her experience in real estate and mortgages spans includes residential lending for individuals and the establishing of marketing/loan programs for home builders, including conventional and government programs.
Since 1982 Ms. Meyers has been serving the needs of consumers and professionals in the real estate and lending communities, with most of the major Chicago area home builders and financial institutions as clients.
Ms. Meyers has a heavy experience in journalism. She helped create and market a nationally syndicated news and graphics package, The Meyers Report, which was syndicated by United Features Syndicate, a division of Scripps-Howard. The program focused on real estate, personal finance, mortgage lending and the economy, which was syndicated in more than 200 newspapers in the U.S., such as the Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune, New York Post, New York Daily News, Houston Post, Dallas Morning News, Washington Times, Detroit Post, Rocky Mountain News. Ms. Meyers also has published Living in Greater Chicago Magazine, generally considered the finest relocation and community profile magazine in the country.
Ms. Wehrend was the Consumer Representative for Tomboy Supermarkets in St. Louis, with her own televised cooking show, answering consumer questions focusing on cooking and buying tips for nutrition, economy and creativity.
Amid the recent credit crisis, Ms. Wehrend and Franklin Home Funding have survived and thrived, because they have always behaved in a professional manner and insist on doing the right thing.
